The Emotional Capital Inventory (ECi) is a short leadership profiling tool provided by our partners RocheMartin ® that measures your level of personal emotional capital quickly and accurately.

In only 10 minutes the ECi delivers a Report of your scores on the ten leadership competencies that research has identified as characteristic of outstanding leaders - and described in Martyn Newman's book Emotional Capitalists - The New Leaders.

Assessment Instructions

The questionnaire you are being asked to complete is a scientific tool designed to produce accurate and comprehensive information about emotional intelligence. All answers are completely confidential and cannot be discussed with anyone without your permission.

Please allow approximately 20-30 minutes to complete the questionnaire. It is important that you are in a quiet and comfortable environment where you won't be interrupted, and that you are in a reasonably relaxed frame of mind. You should aim to complete the questionnaire in one sitting.

Although simple to complete, the questionnaire is sophisticated and very sensitive to the accuracy with which you report your experience. As such, we would encourage you to invest in this process for yourself as the results will be most valuable to you if you respond in an open and candid manner.

The Emotional Capital Inventory (ECi)

is a short profiling tool that measures your level of personal emotional capital quickly and accurately. In only 10 minutes the ECi delivers a Report of your scores on the ten leadership competencies that research has identified as characteristic of outstanding leaders.

The ECi allows you to choose from two kind of reports:

  • 4-pages Summary Report or
  • 19-pages Emotional Capital Report.

Summary Report

The Summary Report is a 4-page report that delivers a quick snapshot of your results on the ECi in a graphic and numeric form on the 10 emotional and social skills found to be characteristic of effective leaders.

Emotional Capital Report

The Emotional Capital Report is a 19 page personalized leadership report that provides you with a detailed interpretation of your scores on the Emotional Capital Inventory.

The report identifies and describes your specific strengths and development opportunities, and provides a wealth of practical, easy-to-use strategies for building your key leadership skills step-by-step. It also gives you an opportunity to create a blueprint to build your emotional wealth and leadership effectiveness.

The Emotional Capital Report is by far the most practical and useful report users discovered. It helped them understand the psychological building blocks that drive their performance and is packed with practical strategies and a clear blueprint for building their EQ and leadership skills.
