Building the Corporate Village (IMPACT)
An Innovative Management Project for Assisting with Community Transition
The ultimate authentic leadership and team building program which revolves around an actual on-site house building experience. The challenge is for teams to coordinate how they are going to work together in partnership with communities in need to contribute to literally build the house, brick by brick. For the project the group is required to travel to a developing area to assist a local community, and will work alongside the local people in completing the project.
An integrated briefing and debriefing process provides information and discussions at many levels including:
- The country context and the needs of the local community
- The building process, and how this can be effectively coordinated and communicated within a team
- Contemporary corporate issues and challenges and how it is possible to learn about these from the experience Throughout this program the process closely parallels the outcomes, which ensures a constructive process and maximum impact.
- This program is run in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity, an aid development organization that focuses on providing low-income families with new hope in the form of affordable housing built in partnership with volunteers.
- In Asia, this program can be run in Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia.
