Heather JonesCorporate Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Specialist

Heather Jones is a 14-year corporate communications and PR specialist, having advised some of the world’s top technology brands and products, including IBM, Microsoft, Apple, McAfee and Lenovo, both in Australia and internationally. Previously, Heather was Communications Director Australia & New Zealand for Lenovo, a Fortune 500 PC company, having announced its global acquisition of the IBM PC Division in May 2005. She was Asia Pacific Communications Manager for IBM Personal Computing Division prior to that, responsible for internal and external communications strategy across Australia, New Zealand, Korea, India, Singapore, Japan and China. From 2000-2003, she lived and worked in San Francisco, USA as Account Director for Text 100 Public Relations, an international technology PR agency, advising some of Silicon Valley's most well-respected global and local brands, including IBM. She transferred to the US from her role as Account Director at Text 100 Australia.
In July 2008 she decided to focus on Communications and to offer independent corporate communications and corporate social responsibility (CSR) consulting services for Australian businesses across multiple industries. Her senior communications background brings a unique perspective – ensuring all philanthropic and sustainability efforts make sense to the brand, and actively engage the loyalty and support of employees and customers alike. She is a dynamic speaker and consultant in this area, having personally visited aid projects in Uganda, South Africa and Hong Kong, and implemented strategic corporate philanthropic programs such as employee study tours overseas and local charity sponsorships.
