THE HIDDEN PERSUADERS

Creating client demand in the post-selling era

How do we remain persuasive in an age when buyers like to make up their own mind? How to we change the customers viewpoint in an era when the customer is always right? How can we be champions for our company’s products and still remain on the side of client? How can we be persuasive and influential without being forceful or demanding?

The answer is the
'Hidden Persuaders'. The same powerful techniques that give sales energy to famous global brands are now available as a new set of skills for business development professionals.

Brands create a new category when the existing one is impossible to win. The change from teapots to tea bags in many nations also produced new market leaders. Professional Persuaders create a new mental category for their products and services.

Brands introduce new vocabulary that only they can own. Names like Nike or Walkman replace regular words like running shoe or portable music player. Professional Persuaders find new and unique ways to describe their offer that arouse interest and stay in the mind.

Brands deliver a promise and a personality, not just a product. Volvo are safe not just cars. McDonalds are fast and friendly not just food. CNN are authoritative not just the news. Professional Persuaders also build promise and personality into their products and services.

Bruce Haddon MA Grad Dip AFAIM is creator of the Caltex brand Starmart seen in  13 Asian countries. Bruce Haddon’s whirlwind presentations through the mind of a professional creative thinker give sales professionals deeper understanding of the consumer
mind and new skills to become powerful creators of change in their marketplace.
