High quality teams are becoming an Endangered Species. The need to protect and nurture the team soon becomes very apparent to the aware leader. Teams that are left to their own devices from infancy can quickly become disillusioned and disoriented. Good team performance rarely happens by chance, it needs to be encouraged, developed and monitored. Many teams will have formed and reformed over their life span, and may in the process lose the characteristics that make them special and unique.

On a tiny deserted island, or deep in the jungles tribal teams will need to find the last of an endangered animal species and bring it safely back to base camp in the local villages. Each team will have to prove their wisdom and courage to the tribal elders, locate and rescue the animals, and collect the necessary supplies before engaging in a final battle to protect their endangered animals from other tribes.

The ability to adapt the special skills of time and resource management, multi-tasking and appropriate delegation, focusing on the macro and micro in dangerous circumstances, and clear communication across different terrains will determine the winning team.

Game theory
Tirian's Endangered is "Game theory" at its very best: Despite the jungle setting sweat and activeness of this program Endangered has close links with economics in that it seeks to find rational strategies in situations where the outcome depends not only on one's own strategy and "market conditions", but upon the strategies chosen by other players with possibly different or overlapping goals.
